Just a few kilometers from the city, the Todra Gorge is one of the most spectacular natural sites in southern Morocco. The gorge narrows between high rocky cliffs and attracts walkers, hikers, and climbers alike. The villages and kasbahs of the valley complete the exploration of this region, deeply influenced by Amazigh culture.
Tinghir is also an ideal stop on the way south. To the west, Boumalne du Dadès provides access to the Dadès gorges, while continuing southeast, Merzouga opens the road to the Erg Chebbi dunes and the Sahara.
