Tetouan is a city in northern Morocco located at the foot of the Rif Mountains, near the Mediterranean. Its history is deeply marked by exchanges with Andalusia, whose influence remains very present in its architecture, its crafts and the organization of its medina.

The medina of Tetouan , a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, is considered one of the best-preserved historic medinas in Morocco. Surrounded by ramparts and accessible through several gates, it encompasses souks, mosques, fondouks, artisans' workshops, and traditional houses with strong Andalusian influences.

Tetouan also makes a good base for exploring northern Morocco and the Mediterranean coast. The resorts of Martil, M'diq, and Cabo Negro are easily accessible, while to the west, Tangier provides access to the Strait of Gibraltar and the Atlantic coast.
