Agdz is a small town in southern Morocco located in the heart of the Drâa valley , between arid mountains and a vast palm grove. Dominated by the distinctive silhouette of Jebel Kissane , it provides a peaceful stop on the road linking Ouarzazate to Zagora .

A few kilometers from Agdz lies Tamnougalt , an ancient fortified village in the Draa Valley. Its narrow streets, earthen buildings, and old kasbahs bear witness to the region's importance on the ancient caravan routes. The surrounding palm grove also offers lovely opportunities for walks among date palms, gardens, and irrigated fields.

Agdz is an ideal stop to take the time to explore the valley before continuing south. The road towards Zagora passes through a succession of oases, mud-brick villages and desert landscapes, while to the north, Ouarzazate provides access to the kasbahs and landscapes of the High Atlas Mountains.
